Quiet, rural, somewhat wooded southern sections toward Jonesboro. Across from the town of Jonesboro is a scenic pedestrian bridge across the White River. Through Marion are several old iron truss bridges. Within the city of Marion are several road crossings. The north end of the trail, toward SR18, is quiet and uninterrupted by crossings.
