View a Trail
Name: Black Canyon Teton NF
Trail Length: 6 Miles
Trail Highlights: Moderate difficulty. This single-track trail follows the ridge south of the pass, and begins with a steep uphill climb. The trail meanders through subalpine meadows and forest, with views of Jackson Hole and surrounding mountains. After the climb, the trail levels off for about ½ mile before heading downhill for the remainder of the ride. Follow the trail down Black Canyon to the end of Trail Creek Road at the bottom of Teton Pass. A shuttle is required to return to the top of Teton Pass (except for the die-hards who wish to bike up Teton Pass and face an arduous climb as well as traffic). This trail is a locals' favorite for an exhilarating downhill.
