Located in Boise's backyard, the foothills called the Boise Front provides one of the most popular and intensively used recreation areas in the State. Popular recreation activities on the Boise Front include off-road vehicle use, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, hang gliding, hiking, sightseeing, and environmental education. All trails provide broad vistas of the Boise Valley.

BLM facilities include an interpretive trail, the Hulls Gulch National Recreation Trail; approximately 20 miles of multi-purpose trails; and an off-road vehicle (ORV) parking area with loading ramp and rest room.
