They've battled the elements, have had to seek shelter from thunderstorms, everyone has taken a spill (except Brian ofcourse ) and they are good. Brian says they've hit that point of being in great shape, one of the secrets of a bike trip is not giving up because you will feel the biking muscles kick into gear soon enough There is no sign of anyone quitting They've met some great folks who have welcomed them in from the storms, given them a place to pitch their tents, and even had a church invite them for some great eating and a great accapela singer. They were headed towards the outskirts of Cleveland today and I think they are staying with a friend who toured with them previously, planning on getting in a baseball game. By my estimate they have put in 600+ miles so far, they typically get up at 6:00, on the road by 7:00 and try to quit by early afternoon, though some of the hills of Pennsylvania have put them in at 5:00. Believe me when I say, those are challenging days and it can be hard to get up the next morning. We're still expecting them here in Minneapolis in the middle of July, and planning on a fun reception, but then letting them do exactly what they want for a day and a half, rest, eat and watch movies!
