Trails and Group Events
The
three web sites each contain a Trails link. In this interface you’ll find some popular trails,
especially on the biking site. You can set up trails in this interface, you
don’t need any special privileges to do so. The trail can be an established
trail, like a state biking trail, or any route that you might normally take. If
at your company you have established walking, running or biking routes and you
want to enter those into our database, you can.
Group
Events – The
reason you’ll want to enter trails or routes is that you can set up a group
outing associated with that trail or route. Once that trail is entered, just
find it and start a group event associated with it. Following is a step by step
guide on how to do so.
1.
Find an existing trail, by clicking on the trails interface (ie: Bike Trails,
looking for mountain bike trails in Wisconsin.

2.
You found the trail you’re looking for “The Cheese Country Trail”. Click on it

3.
After clicking on the trail, towards the bottom you will see the “Post a group ride
for this trail” link. Click on that.

4.
After clicking on this you will fill out the information, similar to following.
Notice the information put in the body of the post, and the date below it.

5.
Now, when folks want to find out if there is an outing planned for a specific
trail, or by date, or both, they simply go to the “Upcoming Group Events” link
and fill out whatever info they need as seen below. Now you can open up that
link and “reply” to it to let the initiator know you plan on joining them.
