To
get into the challenge you need to log your distance. We’ve designed this to be
very fast and easy. You may have already noticed that each of the activities has
a separate web site, either walktrip.com,
runtrip.com or biketrip.com.
Each
of these three sites has a Distance Tracker link. That will bring you to a screen that includes a little box
on the right that looks like this.

Simply
enter your distance in miles (kilometers is also possible, we’ll talk about
that later) in the appropriate box. If you are entering mileage from a day
other than today or yesterday, use the “Other” box and select the past date
that you logged your miles. You can enter to the 1/100th of a mile,
ie: 14.45 miles.
Other
Options – This
link gives you the following interface.

What
this offers in addition to recording your distance as above is
A. Enter your time, and
optionally use it to calculate how far you went. This is a rough guestimation
based on you telling us how fast you generally go.
B.
Keep
track of your weight (only you will see this information).
C.
Attach
a trail to your outing.
D. Share your experiences on a
discussion posting.
E. On the walking site you can
also calculate your distance based on the number of steps (if you use a
pedometer). Here is that interface..
